Stopping CRM users from

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi,

I hope someone knows the solution to this one.

Issue:

When a CRM user tracks an email (via Outlook 2010 CRM client) sent to one of their Contacts in CRM and adds another CRM user in the To: or CC: field then the other CRM user still sees the Activity record, even though it is owned by the CRM user who sent the email.

We would like to configure CRM so that any CRM Users included on the email (other than the sender) do not see the corresponding Activity record in CRM.

Question:

Is there a way to configure CRM so that email activity records are only ever created with the sending user as owner (which currently occurs without issue), but does not ever "share" the record with any other CRM users included on the email recipient list. We are seeing that the activity record is shared with the cc'ed CRM user even if that reside in a different Business Unit.

I thought this was being caused by the Relationship Behaviour -> Configurable Cascading -> Reparent -> setting on the Contact_Email relationship type on the Contact entity in CRM. But setting this to Cascade None has not made a difference.

Any assistance with this query would be appreciated. We are using CRM Online 2016

    Hi

What I'm sure would work is a third party CTI that I've been using for quite some time now which is called Tenfold. They have click to dial and features like screen pop up on incoming and outgoing calls, easy note and task creation, handling multiple matches and creating new leads when no contact match from CRM. They also suppport MS Dynamics integration. Here is a complete list of www.tenfold.com/.../dynamics
