I am using the correct version. I hot this error on client's server and also on my workstation where I have a test version of the software with the same version.

When trying to install, I get this error:
The upgrade patch cannot be installed by the Windows Installer service because the program to be upgraded may be missing or the upgrade patch may update a different version of the program. Verify that the program to be upgraded exists on your computer and that you have the correct upgrade patch.
I figured out the cause of this error. Apparently, if you installed Dynamics SL 2015 in any other folder than C:\program files(86)\Microsoft Dynamics\\sl\applications, the install package cannot find your installation. I uninstalled the test environment from my workstation then installed it in the default location then installed CU1 and the install of the year end updates worked fine. On my clients server, I will copy the files that got installed on my workstation on to their server and this should resolve the issue.
This just bit me. I can't move the location of the files right now. and a symbolic link won't do it either.
