Hi All,

Can anybody explain what is the use of FormRun.ControlMethodOverload() and DialogField.registerOverride().

What sort of requirements needs the usage of above methods? I am new to AX, a detailed explaination would help me alot.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks alot Crispin. I have one more question. Is ' DialogField.registerOverride' used only for batch jobs using RunBaseBatch? Can't we use them for SysOperation framework?

    Hi Lalith_Sahith,

You can use registerOverrideMethod() for any form control and dialog is in fact a from as well, so it could be RunBaseBatch, SysOperationFramework or just a Form.

To give you a more precise answer, those are method hooks/events that the AX kernel maintains for any form controls that you define it on. It does not matter if it is an already existing contol in the AOT (like Form design element), or if it is dynamically built (like RunBase dialog), it applies in all cases.
