Create New button

Hi,

I am looking to adjust the create new button in the opportunity subgrid of contact roles. Currently it pulls up the Lookup view/form(?). I would like to create a QuickCreate form and use that to add a new connection.

I have already created the form. I tried to look in Ribbon Workbench but am getting lost.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

    Hi,

Quick Create is not allowed on the Connection entity.

I would suggest you use the Main form instead.

I found this article, but I would say this it is overkill:

    RE: Create New button

    Hi Wahaj Rashid,

This was extremely helpful! Thank you very much.

This gave me the workaround as I can adjust the main "Connection" form.

It would be very helpful if I could link the button to a QuickCreate form that I created.

If you have any recommendations on that, please do let me know!

I see that the entity has Allow quick create disabled.

    Hi,

    Thank you for your query.

    Please look the following thread:

(+) Stakeholder Connection default value - Dynamics 365 Sales Forum Community Forum

    Here is your high-level solution:

    • Change the view to Active Connections for this sub-grid.
    • Use Ribbon Workbench to add a new (+) button.
    • Open quick create when this button is clicked.
