Mass delete of Leads

I need to delete an old set of Leads (5000+).  Is there a quick way to do this or do I have to do it 50 at a time via the Advanced Find function?

Hi all - thanks for all the feedback.  I think I posted in the wrong area as some of your responses were technically way over my head!  As it turns out, I think I found the answer myself - simply by using the Bulk Delete option hudden under the default Delete button.  Amazing what youi find when you look hard enough.  Still waiting to see if it has worked, though, having submitted the delete request a couple of days ago....

I've started working with CRM recently in addition to GP so I'm becoming more familiar with the terminology.

Good catch Ian.  I think you're right.  I assumed Amanda was calling prospects 'Leads'.

With the references to Leads and Advanced Find I'm thinking this is Dynamics CRM related and not GP.

Amanda, if so you'd be better posting in the CRM section of the forum.

That said, this blog post community.dynamics.com/.../crm-2011-exploring-bulk-delete-operations.aspx may answer your question.

What GP version are you on?  If 10.0 or later, you should be able to mass delete your prospects from the Sales Navigation Pane.  Sales>>Prospects.  Alternatively, you could run a SQL script to remove them from table SOP00200.  I would recommend testing first in a test database if you decide to take what's behind Door #2.
