Could anyone explain the use of the fields defaultdimension and offsetdefaultdimension in the table LedgerJournalTrans (Journal lines) in regards to the various ledger types .
Eg. I have manually entered an Intercompany journal entry, in Company A
Dr Bank (company A) - Dim 1, Dim 2, Dim3
Cr Ledger (company B)- Dim 1, Dim 2, Dim3
In the above case the defaultdimension has a valid recid however the offsetdefaultdimension field is blank. Same dimensions were used.
I know that it refers to the dimensions used so i usually lookup the dimensions used based on the DEFAULTDIMENSIONVIEW. I am actually concerned as to why sometimes the system does not have any recid in the defaultdimension or offsetdefaultdimension ?
Any ideas?
