We implemented a new CRM installation and want our users to point to new CRM App using USD, for that we want to do a silent update using group policy and SCCM
We thought to do following by using group policy
1. Delete Cache record.
2. Replace USD configuration file in USD executable folder to with updated URL.
Does the above steps will be sufficient or anything more we have to do? if so what are those steps?

All integrations in USD should be driven by USD configuration from the D365 CE Org to which USD connects to.
Customizations Files feature should be used to bundle any third part app dll or exe that are needed for integration with USD if they are not already installed apps on the desktop.
UIIOptions in USD configuration gives a way to maintain and publish all kind settings data needed for USD.
SCCM should only restricted to update installed USD version but not its depended components(apps) or settings(urls).
