Hi,

I have created one solution in MS Dynamics Online version 9.1 and now I want to export that solution to be used in MS Dynamics On-premise version 9.0.

I am getting error that I cannot import solution package that package in on-premise Dynamics environment.

Can someone help on this. it is a bit urgent.

Please help me in this.

    Hello, Imran!

Try using this Data Migration Tool: uds.systems/.../data-migration-tool

It's online and quite easy to set up.

If you have any questions about the migration process, feel free to ask me here or by email: k.balakireva@uds.systems

    And I wish you well)

RE: Converting Dynamics Online version solution for Dynamics OnPremise version

    Hello Imran Farooq,

Thank you for contacting Community forums.

Unfortunately for now this is not possible using supported methods, please check the documentation below:

    support.microsoft.com/.../the-solution-package-you-are-importing-was-generated-on-microsoft-dyna

Also we have the following statement in our documentation:

"The <ImportExportXml> root element uses a SolutionPackageVersion attribute to set the value for the version that the solution is compatible with. You should not manually edit this value."

Maintain managed solutions (Developer Guide for Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (on-premises)) | Microsoft Docs

At the moment you have two options going forward:

    1. Migrate your on premises organization to online

    2. Recreate your customizations in the on premises environment for your Dev

On the other hand, if this is a solution provided by a third party you can go back to the third party and ask them if by any chance they have a version of their solution available for your on premises organization version.

    Thank you!
