Problem installing GP10 SP5

Hi, I have the next scenario:

Originally we have GP10 (10.00.1368, SP3) on client workstations running on a SQL Server 2008 instance.

Because of performance problems the customer installs SQL2008R2 in a new server, and restore de Data Bases. The cliente workstations are connected to the new server, and everything is working fine.

But, when  install the SP5 for GP10, and open the Utilities they receive the following message:

Your current SQL Server is not supported version.

Req. Microsoft SQL Server 8.0

Act Microsoft SQL Server 2008 RTM(RTM) - 10.50.1600.1

We know that is necesary install GP10 SP5 using SQL2008, before restore over SQL2008R2, but this is not the case.

Does anyone know how to resolve this problem.

    You have to be on SP5 for GP 10 in order to using SQL 2008 R2. The only way to fix this is apply SP5 to the machines and then upgrade your databases.

    It was on the server, and yes, we are logged as user with admin rights. But, we download again the SP and it was working fine.

    Do you get this message on the server as well or only on the workstations? When you installed SP5 on the worksations were you logged in with admin rights? Sounds like dictionaries are not getting updated.

    It´s SQL Server 2008 R2 (10.50.1600.1)

    So what version of SQL are you running?
