Opening transaction process is slow

Hi All,

We have recently migrated from AX 2009 RU3 to AX2012 R3 CU10 4 months back.

During Opening transaction process (Period end closing and opening transaction creation), it has been observed that it is taking almost 3 - 4 times more time, that the time this process was taking in AX2009.

Earlier it used to take 3 - 4 hours in one of our biggest India entity, but now it is taking almost 12 hrs to 15hrs to complete the opening transaction process.

I would request if someone can help to update reason behind this.

Additional info: During this process, we also transfer the Financial Dimensions.

    Hi,

    There can be many reasons for this.

    What might help you in regards to process performance is a webinar from the AXUG group that elaborates why AX might be slow and what you can do about it.

    Hi Ashwani,

    I did put a comment related to performance and opening transactions in my blog a while ago: kaya-consulting.com/rebuild-balances-in-ax-2012-do-you-have-a-minute-or-more

    Furthermore, there can be a lot of causes like lack of hardware resources, fragmented indexes,  etc.
