POS retail statement posting error "Date is not in an open period"

Hi There,

recently we found some our AX2012 POS retail statements in certain stores (not all stores) had posting error.  It worked well before.

and in those retail statements, customer orders posted, but payment journal was not generated, and sales transactions could not be posted.

any thoughts?

    Looks it's because the original order's period(6 month ago) is Not Open.   Why does original order's period affect today's return order's posting?

    How do you handle this problem in AX2012?

    I haven't encountered this error, but I've found something relevant for you to refer to:

    However, in my case, the journal was created by system, not manually.
