What do you mean by "to adjust release"?

I mean how can I configure the release? Are there some standard instructions on configuring release for D365FO?

You really should explain what you mean; it's difficult for us to help you if we have to guess what you're talking about.

Do you mean how to release customizations? To which kind of environment? Are you already familiar with the concept of deployable packages? If not, reading the related documentation should be your first step.

There is a standard configuration instructions for creating a Build service in VSTS for D365FO.

It consists of some key steps, which include environment deployment, VSTS configuration, etc.

My question is there some similar instructions for creating a Release service in VSTS "out-of-the-box", particularly for D365FO? My thought: it should include instructions on packages release and deployment to SANDBOX: DEVELOP AND TEST and(or) PRODUCTION environments using standard D365FO build definition.

No, VSTS Release Management isn't used for deploying customizations to AX 7 environments. You must create a deployable package and either install it (thought LCS or command line) or - in case of production - request Microsoft to apply it for you.

You can find details in documentation, especially Apply a deployable package to an environment and Install a deployable package.

When you were still local admin I got this working in VSTS release management by launching a powerShell Script. (07/2017)

Now I need to setup new environments because we are switching from Azure tenant,

I suppose this no longer works then because of no longer being local admin on those environments?

This then also means that you can no longer do an automated build to your test environment?

Update: still works to release on the test environment
