[Business Central] How to Setup Email account type as Current user (Local Testing Environment)

Hi everyone,

I am new to Business Central and I am learning how set up email account in BC. My goal is to setup an current user email on Business Central and send a testing email to my outlook account on my local PC.

When I am trying to setup email with Type "Current user", I have shown below error message repeatedly. After investigating this error ID, I suppose it should be saying application ID doesn't match with Client ID. (Please correct me if I am wrong)

So now, email account of current user type and error message are being like below pictures:

My questions are:

1.Could anybody possibly know how would this happen? anything setup missing during configurating? Or i just misunderstand whole process in the very beginning?

2.Someone could kindly show me how to setup up email account with current user step by step?

And Yes, I have read official support documents and I follow the instructions for configurating App registration on Azure.

So, I have Application (client) ID, Object ID, Directory (tenant) ID, Client Secret on my hands.

And No, I cannot get access to admin center to configure email as I am not an admin. [don't know whether it is related if you want to know]

Here are URLs for the supporting

Many Thanks for your help in advance!!!!!!!!

    Hi Nitin,

    Thank you for being helpful!

I have read about this article before, still have no clues to do that. And I have mentioned, I have no rights to configure service management--> active user--> mail setting.

Are you suggesting this current user email setup must be through IT admin to configure?

    Thanks!

    Hi

"Current user" is kind of misleading. To set that up someone should have Admin right to both BC and Azure. Then after one time setup based on scenario setup email will send using each user email. Hence, as Nitin suggested for the first time setup please work with IT admin.
