We have been receiving many support requests over the past years related to Windows Client when it does come down to the decimal separator that is on the numeric keyboard (physical device). The Windows Client followed regional settings. Regional settings could differ per country especially in EMEA based countries. The Web Client doesn't follow regional settings. Now there is no Windows Client anymore for SaaS releases and Wave 2 2019 release doesn't ship Windows Client as well. It is therefore time to readdress this issue and provide latest news around this topic.
The scenario has been raised to Microsoft Customer Support Service (CSS) a few times since the release of Wave 2 of Dynamics 365 Business Central. The answer from the product group is that this cannot be addressed as typical hot fix material because it has been like this for years. Feature/Gap request has been captured though via partner feedback. We see from previous bugs that heads down user's data entry speed is reduced by this web client gap and we will be taking this into account when planing future scope. Proficiency and data entry is high on our feature prioritization list.
The scenario will not be addressed as a typical hot fix request. Hope this information will help you as a partner to discuss this when talking about possible WebClient limitations.
