Will RSAT tests work in all environments?

starting recording tests in RSAT. My assumption is that when I have created tests in one environment (eg SIT), then I can play them back in same or another environment (eg UAT or even Prod).

The config file lets us set the environment details but is my assumption correct, will tests work in new environment as long as I change my config?

I've been asked this question and cannot definitively say yes or no, since I haven't personally run them. Anyone else with experience they can share and any problems they faced?

When UAT environment is built, it will be the same as SIT, just using different test data (but same reference data).

Hi Dan,

You will be able run the tests in UAT (or other sandbox environments). But you won't be able to run them in Prod, since you don't have an option to download RSAT certificates for Prod environment. Please check this link for more details.

Apart from that, your assumption is correct. You can change the configuration and run the tests on other environments.

Hi Dan,

You can run the same test cases for other environments by changing RSAT configuration. The reference data should be same.
