Quick Print from Sales Transaction Entry in GP2013 R2

We are finding that the Quick Print (Ctrl-Q) function does not work from the Sales Transaction Entry window when using the Action Pane setting for the window.

It works fine, if the user preference is changed to use the Menu Bar option on that window instead.

Has anyone come across the same issue and if so, is there a way to resolve this?

    Hi All

    Interesting. Let me explain.

Quick Print uses the macro system to drive the user interface to print the selected document.

The macro system is not available in the web client and so Quick Print was disabled for the web client.

To disable it, the developers removed it when the Ribbon interface was being used in GP 2013. However, when Ribbons were also allowed to work in the desktop environment, the Quick Print options were still missing.

A code change in GP 2015 R2, brings back the Quick Print options and now only hides them when using the ribbon AND running on the web client.

For GP 2013, GP 2013 R2 & GP 2015, if you turn off the ribbons and go back to using the menus, it will show up again.

    Hi,

You are correct, Quick Print doesn't work with the ribbons. I think this was an unintended result of the ribbon. I hope they fix the problem. I'm afraid the solution is just to wait until Microsoft fixes it. Look in Connect and see if there is a proposal and then vote on it.

    Kind regards,

I came across the issue and did not know the Menu Bar would show Quick Print.  Has anyone able to have Quick Print in Ribbon View.   I just don't see it in my ribbon view.
