Hi guys,

during the import file via electronic reporting I need to get filename as a variable. I need this variable to use it in some functions and also to save this value into to table field.

I could not found which functionality I can use for this puprose?

Have someone experience with it?

Thanks in advanced

KlaraC , did you manage to find a solution to this? I have a similar requirement and I'm not sure how to achieve it.

    Thanks.

    Hi KlaraC and Veera,

I haven't worked on ER. But I have came across similar situation. So what can be done is you need to take access of the folder where these files are getting imported from x++ using FileI/OPermission class. And then on every new import(number of files before and after can be counted) you need to read the file name using x++ and save that in table. We have lot of functions for this. Kindly check in this way.

    Thanks

I'm not experienced with ER, but I've seen before that we can change the filename. In this case, if you can give the filename you want, you already know the value.

It is not exactly the approach you want, but it can be considered as an alternative if there is no more logical response from other friends.
