Products with Same origin and different batches in same location

Posted on by 2
Hi All,

I have 2 products with different country of origins. Each have a separate batch number generated when I receive the product.
lets say Product A is from UK and product B is from US. The batch generated for Prod A is UK-000# and Prod B is US-000#.

Now when receiving I want the prod A to be stored in the same location.

If I allow mixed batched in the location profile then US and UK will get mixed. If i disable it then Different batches of the same region will be stored in different locations.

Can I put away items of same country , different batch in same location?

I have tried using the fixed locations and 2 separate location directives it works. But looking for a more flexible option.

I assume you mean that batches of different items from the UK can be stored in the same location (else you could just disallow mixed items).

I cannot think of an automatic way to handle this (i.e. nothing as easy as turning off mixed batches). You could designate certain locations to certain countries (e.g. via additional zones) and, using Country of origin on the item, configure your Put away location directives to put UK items in to UK locations. But I appreciate that the maintenance of assigning locations to countries might makes this solution too much effort to accept.
