Smartlist for Trial Balance

Is there a simple way to run a single smartlist that would incorporate the Balance sheet accounts ytd balance per row? The default report has an amount for each period.

You could print YTD GL Trial Balance as shown in the reference below;

GPtip42day - Non-consecutive accounts Trial Balance

As for having a YTD trial balance, you could script out the "GL Trial Balance", along with having Smart List Builder in order have your script in Dynamics GP SmartList. Here is another reference for consideration, it needs a bit of enhancement to have YTD GL Trial Balance;

Thanks however Smartlist Builder is not an option and i'm too low in the organization food chain to have direct access to SQL :(

I'm familiar with all of the other reports.

Jo-ann, could you use FRx or Management Reporter to meet your requirements? Either reporting tool is very capable of creating a GL Trial Balance.

Thanks Frank. I was trying to take the "easy" way out by using Smartlist. FRX was my next option. I don't use it too often so it's always somwhat challenging.

Yeah, there's no easy way to get a TB out of SmartList. Use the Report Wizard in FRx. That should have you going in no time. Let us know if you need further guidance.
