Date fields in PM30200

Posted on by 30

Hi,

I am new to GP and unsure of which date field/s to filter on for a report based upon the PM30200 table.  Some appear to be the same dates in this table, while others are not.  I've seen posts where individuals refer to both the pstgdate and posteddt as "Posting Date", yet these two date fields have different dates in my environment.  Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Arlene

The Posting Date is the posting date on the batch and is the period into which you want the tranactions to appear. The posted date is the date you posted the transctions. So let's say you are posting on the 5th of April but the you want the posting date to be March 31,2013.  You will have 03/31/2013 on your posting date field for the batch, So in the PM302000 table you will see PM30200.POSTEDDT as 04/05/2013 and PM30200.PSTGDATE as 03/31/2013.
