Delegate for All User Timesheets

Good Morning All,

I'm just trying to figure out if there's a way in AX that I can give an Admin the ability to submit timesheets without having to go through the process of  making them a delegate for a particular user?  What we find is that persons would create timesheets and not hit the Submit button.  If the worker heads out on vacation we are tasked with making someone a delegate to submit on their behalf.

This is all fine but becomes a hassle as alot of times its an entirely new delegation.  I'd like to have it where an Admin like myself can go in and simply hit Submit to get the process going.

Regards

    Hi Nemesis,

What about the delegation functionality available in the user options that can be used if people are for example on vacation.

    Have you tested this?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

Hi Nemesis, wish your doing well.

    You can give delegate him one time so your admin will have the rights to register the time sheet for only the assigned employees, so please follow the below path and steps;

Project management and accounting >> Setup >> Timesheets >> Delegates

You will select in the worker field the employee you want Ted (Delegate) to register for him/ her the time-sheet.

    Hi Mohammed,

The issue here is that I am looking for a way to delegate all users to an admin without having to manually create delegates.  I know this is a trivial issue but it would be nice to not have to worry about creating delegates each time a new user is out of office and has not submitted a timesheet.

    Thanks for the advice.

    Hi Nemesis,

You just can upload then thru data upload frame work find "Delegates" entity name.

I believe that will solve your issue.

    Hi Nemesis,

It is a manual setup, or you need to consider a customization for this.

Don't like to resurrect an old thread, but I'm pretty sure those Delegates are just for travel & expense, not timesheets.
