Logic app integration and GET payment file (in ER) from D365

Hi, 

under the certain conditions, the ER file is attached to the record in Electronic reporting jobs form. 

In the Azure logic app workflow, there is an action list where we can choose an action 'Get a record' from D365.

Can we transmit the ER file attached in the record in D365 Electronic reporting job form to Logic app using this action in Logic App? 

Or is it not supported yet?

    Out of the box, you can export ER report to a SharePoint folder and consume that file in Logic Apps. 

    This the approach without any customization

    I am aware of the option using the sharepoint  but this will not be used.

    Logic Apps only Get Records from OData. Logic Apps don't consume a file from ER. You need to push files from ER to an external storage ( SharePoint, Blob Storage ) and then trigger event from Logic App

    What if we extend the ER destination to an HTTP endpoint and use the Request trigger in Logic App called 'When a HTTP request is received'?

    Can the ER file be picked up by Logic app from D365 and transmitted to external system?

    Yes, you can extend ERIFileDestination (custom ER destination) to upload a file by HTTP

    Hi,

    in case the payment files in ER format will need to be transmitted from Logic app to an on-premise network folder eventually after picking up files from D365,

    do you still recommend us to extend the ER destination to upload ER file by HTTP that will be picked up by Logic app?

    or

    is it better to create a custom webservice in D365 which will contain the GET method which will transmit files to Logic app?

    Personally, I would use a custom ER destination to upload file.

    I think the document you shared is dealing with an example of storing generated documents as files in a folder of the local file system.

    But my requirement is to transmit the ER file to the on-premise network folder. Therefore, we decided to use Azure Logic App to pick up the ER file from D365 and transmit files to the on-premise network folder via the on-premise data gateway.

    If we go for the option to extend ER destination to upload file by using HTTP, 

    what my thought was as follows:

    Create a request trigger 'When a HTTP request is received' in Logic App.

    When saving this logic App, we get this callback URL.

    Then we extend the ER destination and specify the call back URL in the destination settings.

    Is this the right approach?
