Hi guys .. hope you are doing well..

When I am trying to access EP .. getting this error.

"You cannot view data on this page because you are not a registered user in Microsoft Dynamics AX. Contact your Microsoft Dynamics AX administrator."

And when I click on "Go back to site"

then getting this error "The log on attempt to the server from user aosophc\axadmin failed, when using Dynamics Adapter LogonAs from process w3wp and thread id 86."

Please guide me to get out of this.

Thanks

Anjaneya

    Hi Anjaneya,

Please provide more information. Is the user aisophc\adadmin the user you used to open EP? Can this person access the AX client without problems? Please check the settings of this user in AX.

    Hello Anjaneya,

Did you opened EP for the first time after  first time installation? or the Did you restored the DB on the existing database?

I think you need to reinstall the EP.

    Hi Anjaneya,

Please check if the SID field in the table UserInfo has the correct value for this user.

Can you also check the URL which you use to open the enterprise portal? You can delete all parameters after "default.aspx".

Can you also check if the web site settings in AX do have the setting to be company and partition independent? (Partition only R2 or above)

Hi Andre.. This is very unexpected behaviour of AX ... I have done nothing for this (was busy in some other task) and restarted ax client and EP started working automatically...

Dont know the reason but its working now...

Thanks guys for your time and suggestions ...

As Andr'e Said you may need to Update SID:

    Hi

I know this is too late for you, but I'll throw in an answer in here, in case someone else gets the same error and can't figure out why EP suddenly doesn't work. :-)

I resolved this by doing the following:

    1) Figure out which user the Business Connector runs under. EP will be running in the context of this user.

    2) Find the user from #1 under the Users-folder and navigate to that users own local Appdata. For example, if the username is sa_daxbc, the path would typically be C:\Users\sa_daxbc\Appdata\Local\

    3) Delete all cache files created by AX. This means all files with the AUC and KTI extension.

    4) Recycle the application either by restarting the exact application pool EP runs under, or run a full iisreset. This will force the Business Connector thread to re-authenticate and new cache files will be written to the folder in step #2.

Try logon to EP again. :-)

    Thanks,

Cleaning up the cache files you mentioned and doing iisreset solved my issue.
