GP 2015 R2 Web Client - Very Slow especially when printing reports.

We have a single machine installation with about 30 users. Clients report that printing reports,  such as a Trial Balance,  takes a huge amount of time when using their Web Client. The Desktop client does not seem to have this issue.

Our GP Web Client Web Server is running on VMWare in a single machine installation. I checked and noticed that SBA(Service Based Architecture was not installed), could this be the issue?

Things we tried:

  • client connect using Remote option for Distributed Processes under System Preferences -no change.
  • Installed Web Resource Cache - no change

Does anyone else have more information on how the Web Client uses SBA. Checked the Web and could not find anything that really explained how SBA works with the Web Client server.

Is anyone else having issue printing reports and slow performance issues using GP 2015 R2 Web Client?

Thanks,

    HI Ian, thanks for responding.

Staff say it is report generation that is the issue.

The Web client Server is running on VMWare

    • Windows Server 2012 R2 (64 bit)
    • 2 CPU
    • 16 GB Memory
    • 75 GB HDD
    • 10 Gbps LAN speed

Our client workstations have Gigabit Ethernet LAN Connectivity

SBA is not used by the web client.

Is it the report generation or printing which is slow?  You can test this by printing to screen.

If generation, what resources are on the web client server? If printing what is the internet connection speed?
