Get the Option Set Value Label in a Single Query Using a CDS (Current Environment) and populate in a Subject through Power automate

Requirement: Get the display name of the Option set( Request subtype), and populate it in the Create task Subject line.

My problem: This flow is created by another person. I can't find a way to recreate it. I can't find the Dynamics content in the red square in my picture.  It looks like a normal field as others, but whatever I try to find it, it seems not exist there.. But I want to know how the person initially did that.

    Hi Carina,

In your flow, there must be an action for retrieving record by ID (Name: Retrieve Request Record) before Task record creation action. Content you highlighted with red box is an expression which gets option set label from the record in previous action. When you click inside Subject text box of Create Task action, pop-up window will opens on right hand side to key-in Dynamic content and Expression. There you can provide expression as per your need.

Below is a screenshot I have taken from a flow which is similar to yours for your reference. This expression set the statuscode option set label to Subject of a Task record being created.

    Hi Charan,

I was existing to see your reply. It's quick straightforward.  You are right. There is a step before called "Retrieve Request Record".  But if I use the expression, it will look like this. I've recorded what I did.  It's purple with fx in the front which is different from yours. Can you specify which action you take?

If your previous action name is Retrieve Request Record, below should be an expression. And do not worry about the color of the expression. The outcome is same.

    outputs('Retrieve_Request_Record')?['body/statuscode@OData.Community.Display.V1.FormattedValue']
