Unit Price in Sales Order Line get unwanted renewed

Posted on by 895

Let's say I have an Opportunity and add products in it. These products have a default Price per Unit of USD 10,-. I create a Quote, activate it and the customer signs the Quote. Then I push the Create Order button and the Order is exactly how I want it.

Now before I submit the Sales Order, the vendor of out products increases the price and I change the price on the product on my existing price list. At this moment, I would expect CRM doesn't change the price in the Sales Order... To bad, cause as soon as I open the Sales Order, the prices get refreshed and are taken over from the price list again. Now the prices in my Sales Order are different from the prices in the Quote that has been signed by the customer!

To my opinion, prices shouldn't change as soon as they are loaded from the price list into the product lines in an opportunity, quote or order and I would conciser this as a bug. What do you guys think?
