Smart List Security

Posted on by 1,005

I have been working to create Smart List Objects for an ISV prodyct.  I am having difficulty with Table security.  at this point I am out of ideas

I have created security task and added the smartlist builder permissions to view SmartLists with SQL Tables

I have granted access in a task for the smart List objects

I have navigated to the smartlist security and granted access to the tables and view for the database

I have run the grant statement

I am still getting the message when I try to run that I do not have security privileges to view all the tables used in the smartlist (I am logged in as ‘sa’)

The ISV explained that for the commission plan SLB objects that there is a known issue with importing the objects and I followed the fix for that issue.

I don’t know what else to look at.

I am attempting to run these smart lists logged in as 'sa'

    RE: Smart List Security

    I think it might be just important to read the following article;

    SmartList Builder and SQL Tables/Views

    Pay attention to the sequence ... and most importantly steps  8, 10, 12, and 14.

    Your feedback is highly appreciated,

    RE: Smart List Security

    your mentioning that you have a "View" on this Smart List Builder.  For the view check that DYNGRP is listed for permissions as a group and that the DYNGRP has Grant on Select, Update, Insert, Delete permissions. Go to the Databases,  go to the View and then right click and go to Properties and then go to permissions. )
