AX 2012 R3 Retail Store Customer 'Assignment'

Is it possible to filter the customers that can be viewed by a specific store?  The environment has only one company but multiple retail stores.  Client wants to be able to 'assign' customers to certain stores.

Thanks in advance.

    Use the address book feature.

Create an address book per store and then attach it to store Customer address book and to the Customer.

Run the scheduler job and thn you will be able to see specific customer for the store.

Thanks Sumit.  I'll give this a try.

Sumit, I get a warning indicating that Address Book Security doesn't extend to the POS, which is really where I need it.  Do you know if a work-around or other solution?

    Thanks

i have a customer who have grouped customers using different address books and assigned to different stores.  It works on POS.  So o am not sure what you mean by addressbook security not been extended to POS.

So if I don't want 'Store A' to see 'Store B' customers in POS, I can accomplish that using Address Books? When I tested setting up Global Address Books, I received the following warning:

    Hi Frank,

Its not the correct form for assigning Retail address book.

You can go to Retail store form for a particular store and then right click on Customer address book field and click view details- Create a new address book suppose A and another with B.

Now the address book A and B will drop in the drop down of Customer address book.

Select the address book A for store 1 and address book B for store 2.

Same way select the address book A for customer 1 , 2 and 3 and address book B to customer 4, 5, 6.

This way when you open POS for store 1 you can see only customer 1, 2, 3 and when you open POS  for store 2, you can see only customer 4, 5, 6.
