We have an automated campaign that chases people who have previously enquired after a set period of time. Some have replied to say "contact me on XXXX date". I want to remove them from that campaign.
The usual best practice way would be a suppression list. However, there is already a suppression list in place on this contact list.
How can I remove these contacts from this list without unsubscribing them altogether?

I agree with you that the best way is adding a suppression list in the customer journey. Other than that, I'm afraid it is not available for now to remove members from Dynamics segment automatedly.
It's due to system design that when a customer has already opened email or replied email or so on, they will become a lead. Dynamics 365 Marketing does not offer us some way to judge customer's reply email.
