We have our system set up with purchase approvals for ordering new items. We have two main types of orders.. Internal and External. Our approvals are currently only set up for external orders and we were hoping there would be a way to have different approval limits set depending on the type of order we were looking to submit. If anyone knows of a way to do this please let me know! Thanks.
there is no internal workflow in BC, but you could set up the filters to fit your needs such as limit to amount, or to a certain vendor etc. The filters are set up under Event conditions. However, if you are new to workflow, the task of setting up a new one might be a little challenging.
If the new one would be similar to the existing one, you could export it and then create a new one by importing back. Then you could modify as needed.

but setting up a working workflow requires some testing and it usually involved several users as requester and approvers.
A partner is able to set up workflow but unable to test it due to MS imposed limit on their license.
There are some moving pieces to tweak to make it work as well but it very difficult to provide a step by step instruction.
