I need to find out if there is any way for me to update the shipping carrier or the mode of delivery on a return order because the system is retrieving the one that was originally used in the sales order, and it is not letting me change it, most of the times when materials are returned the carrier is different than the one used to send the materials to the customer.
I hope you can help me out with this.

Unfortunately it is not possible to change the carrier for a return order. It is true that reverse logistics in D365F&O is an area to be developed. However, if you have organized your delivery modes by carrier you can always change the delivery mode either by return order at the header level or by line at the line level.
