changing item in BOM - in bulk

Hi there,

I was wondering if we can change a line in Bill of materials for multiple items?

 For example::

Product 5223N-400 is used in all these BOMs. If this product is being replaced by another product – can I update the below BOMs in one go rather than opening each BOM and adding a replacement item manually?

    Hi C Wee,

    You can use ‘Change BOM item’ form to achieve it.

    Inventory management > Periodic tasks > Bills of materials > Change BOM item

    Hi Hermann,

    Thanks for that. I tested it but i got below error message:

    I tried to unapprove some BOMs but still got the same error. I could be missing something here, please help.

    Thanks QianQW! Based on your screenshot, on the Update lines tab, instead of "Append" I chose "Overwrite" because I wanted to replace an old unit. It seems like appends add a unit to the BOM lines.

    But if I wanted to delete an item from the BOMs, instead of replacing it, what options should I use?

    Hi C Wee,

    In standard feature, there is no option to directly delete items in bulk from the BOMs.
