I’ve flagged the create item requirement and item consumption toggles in Project Management and Accounting. The ability to create a purchase order from an item requirement is now grayed out. Can anyone explain why?

We create 85% of our purchase orders through item requirements. I do not want the “do you want to auto consume” and packing slip windows to appear for users, I want it to auto-consume automatically, which is why I am trying to flag the item consumption feature.

Hi,
The docs mention about it, roughly saying that if you did this:
Go to Project Management and Accounting Parameters > Setup > Project Management and Accounting Parameters.
On the General tab, choose Enable item requirement creation for non-stock items.
This means that when you create a purchase order line, the system generates a project material requirement, then the purchase order line and material requirement are linked to each other. Instead of creating a purchase order on the item requirements page.
