Documentation of business logic in Dyn CRM

Hi every one,

Can somebody guide me to where some more detailed business logic for Dyn CRM is documented. I seem only to be able to find it on high level.

A simple example : What goes on when you qualify a lead to opportunity.

Different actions takes place on dependent on the information you fill out:

  • If you only fill out the contact and account on the lead form, a new contact with the relevant name will be created, when you qualify to opportunity
  • If you have entered a name for existing contact in the processflow "new Lead", the opportunity will be linked to the account for  this contact when you qualify  (but not to the contact ) - but if you have filled something out for contact on the lead form - which is mandatory fields - it is completely ignored 
  • .....

It would be nice to have some documentation the describes what happens when you press "Qualify" - instead of deducting what goes on "based on try different scenarios" . And the Qualify lead is a simple task

    Hi Tom,

    I assume that you must have already gone through the User Guides: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customer-engagement/sales-enterprise/user-guide#manage-the-sales-process 

    The only other document where you can get more detailed info is the CRM SDK. However, it can tend to get more technical and a bit confusing, so really here, trying out and learning is the easier way to go.

    As always, there is the forum to help you out.
