Updating Starting Segments of Live Journeys

Posted on by

Hi Guys, we are changing the target entity of many segments in our environment.

Therefore the segments will still be on the contact Entity, but referencing a new /CustomEntity/ connection, instead of the previous /Order/ connection.

This implies that already live RT Journeys using those segments will be updated.

Is there any Guideline of Best Practice to follow for this type of process?

Build out your new segments and make sure the numbers match. Copy the journeys and point your segments at it. Turn off the old journeys. That’s it in a nutshell.

    Hi Partner,
Are you trying to update the target audience for created segment?
Unfortunately, it seems that you can't edit it.
we can only select audience  when we create the new segment.
After the segment created and published, there is no column on the form for us to change the value.
Even if we click on the 'Edit' button, we can only add the element and no other attributes can be changed.
For segments that has need used in live journeys, the edit button is greyed out and there is no way to make any changes to the segment.

I hope you can mark my answer verified if it is helpful! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
    Regards,
    Leah
