Editable Grid on Case form not working?

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hello,

I can't get editable grids to appear editable on the case entity. Doesn't matter what entity the grid points to - custom entity, activities, child entities, standard entities... Nothing becomes grid-editable.

Editable Grid works on other entities including custom entities, but just not on the Case entity.

Is this working as intended? Known bug?

You can try to delete whole subgrid of the issue, build it again.

Any update on this? I can't get it working on the Sub-Grid. If I pop out the view it works fine, but when inside the form, I get nothing.

We've had a problem with the editable sub-grids not appearing on the form until doing a cache refresh on the form using CTRL-F5. Sometimes takes multiple refreshes. Every time we edit the sub-grid in any way, we have to refresh the browser cache to get it to appear.

@Inogic Thanks for your post but this is in regards to a subgrid on an entity -- not the home/views list.

Here's the grid (not working) on the Case form (three fields - name (string), description (string), end date (datetime)):

Here's the grid's settings on the Case form:

If we click the Associated View button and change the view to the same one used on form, the grid works:

It is just on subgrid on the Case entity that editable grid does not work.

We have checked on our CRM, and we can configure the Editable grid for Case as shown in below screenshot. Can you please let us know what issue you faced while configuring the Case Editable grid?

Just to be sure, we made a new view for the grid with only the name field. It is still not editable. This was for a custom entity with a 1:N relationship to Case. We have tried many other entities.

Perhaps it is a problem with the environment.

I'll make some further testing based on your posts.

    Hi Erik,

You should check the field that you want to be enable for editable grid. There are limitation for some fields which cannot be editable (data related to other entities, state, status fields...). Please check this article xrmcenter.wordpress.com/.../key-notes-for-editable-grid-in-dynamic-365.
