Hello,
I have datetime field 'DOB' which having datetime values, I want to create a new calculated field 'FormatedDOB' which will have copied value from DOB field with my custom datetime format. for e.g (2017 年 12 月 31日). How can I define my own custom format while defining calculated field? or is it possible to do by using some workflow?

Text field is acceptable for me, I know how to create workflow but I couldn't understand what steps I will need to achieve it, and I also don't know about custom workflow activity, could provide more detail for this?

Hi Ashish,
you cannot define custom format - Date Time format can be set in the CRM user personal settings.
If you need custom format, you will need a text field and a custom workflow activity. Then you will be able to create a workflow that will use custom workflow activity to format the date, and, then, will put formatted value as a text to the new text field (can be a plugin as well). You won't be able to use a date picker for the text field of course.
