Hi all

I have two users with same name and same domain.

aer\asd                               enabled

aer\asd                               disabled

1. Enabled user is able to login. But against this user there is no transactions. If I disabled this User and I enable the disable one.

2. Disabled user is not able to login, If I enable it. There are transactions against this user. But this user is not able to login.

How should I resolve this issue? I want User able to login and have transactions.

Thank You

The link has been taken taken down since,

    in short:

    In SQL server Management studio:

Query the systemuser using the domain name 'asd' . It will give you 2 records. Change the enabled one one to to some other valid AD user's name and then disable that User, then reenabled the disabled account.

    Hi David Levins

I update DomainName of Enable account aer\asd to aer\asdOLD  which is able to login but no transactions and swab activeDirectoryGUID of these accounts. Enable and disable bothh accounts. User still able to login with the id that have no transactions.

I am not able to satisfy my company by giving reasons to create test ad account that is why I do above. What should I do now? I need to run my user that have transactions. May you please help me more?

    Thank You

    Hi Abdul,

    are  you using on-premise?

both of these accounts have the same active directory GUID currently, correct? if so, then you can try this.

1)if so take a backup of the DB.

    2) Update the active directory Guid of the user that has no transactions to a some other AD user. (copy and paste the guid into notepad and keep it)

    3) Disable that user

    4) Enable the User that has the transactions against it.

Try to log in again as the user.

    regards,

      David Levins

    Hi David Levins

    Yes, I am using on-primises.

They both have different active directory GUID's and I swap them. Now the running ADGUID is owned by the user that have transactions. But he is not able to login. As I told You I have no Test AD account.

    Thank You

Hi Abdul, after you swapped the guid's did you enable the user account (with the transactions) and disable the other one?

RE: Transaction related to Disable User

    Hi Adbul,

so at the moment the account with transaction is now linked to the activedirectory guid of the account that was able to log,

is the domain name still chnaged? (you had changed it to aer\asdOLD early).

It needs to be set back to aer\asd.

After that you should be able to log in through using the same account you used to log in as the user without transactions.

If not, I would advise you to restore the data to what is was before and go through the steps provided in this article.
