Is it possible to automatically print out the pick list (to a specific network printer) for sales orders when they are released to the warehouse - within the wave template or some other manner?
Any guidance appreciated.Thanks
Jason
Hi Adrian,
I'm not aware of any field that indicates whether a picking list of work report has already been generated. However, what might be worth to investigate are the advanced filter options [Advanced date queries] in combination with the recurrence pattern of the batch job. In this case, you might still have scenarios where picking lists are being generated multiple times, but I think you can reduce the number of duplications drastically.

That seems to be the only issue with the batch printing idea and I haven't found a solution yet either. I cannot find a logical filter or method to prevent the batch from reprinting the same pick lists from the last batch. Hopefully we are overlooking a simple config or creative solution...
I'll follow up with any progress I make.
Thanks,
Adding to the question, can you think of any condition added to the 'print pick list' batch job that would ensure we only get one printout per picking work?
My concern is that batch job will simply print everything in status open, regardless whether we have printed pick list already
Hi Austin,
So, I spent some time testing work audit templates - I'm glad you mentioned it. While it's a feature I will be able to use for other purposes I cannot seem to get it to work for this function. From what I can tell, it can only trigger the printing of a shipping pick list during mobile device work processes. My goal is to print out these pick lists before any mobile work is performed. Let me know if I am overlooking a configuration of the work audit templates that would accomplish this. Otherwise I am thinking that Alice's idea of using a batch job would be best for my situation – perhaps combined with the auto release to warehouse batch job.
as Austin suggested, it would be good to try triggers in work audit templates
Hi Jason,
Please consider using work audit template feature. For details, please refer to following blogs.

Hi Alice,
That might be the easiest solution at this point. We have someone that has suggested printing the pick list information on a wave label but not sure if that is possible yet - still testing. If not we will probably go with the picklist batch job.
Thanks for your time,
Hi Rahul,
Thanks for the suggestion but I am looking to produce the pick lists prior to the start of the work - mainly to assist the worker in planning their work and manually clustering if desired so they would need them ahead of that stage.
Thanks again,
I'm not aware of a standard functionality to print the picklist as part of the release to warehouse flow. However, there is a picklist batch job which might be worth investigating. Navigation: Warehouse management > Work > Outbound > Shipping picking list.
try custom work type
