Dear All,
I wonder if anyone else has had this issue happen to them. One of my customers is running version 19.2 Gb edition of 365 Business central.
Now they had created and used Salespersons on customer accounts. And the sales invoices that were related to the customer had the salesperson code on them as well. The salesperson left the business last week and so they amended the customer accounts that was related to that one salesperson. They were also able to delete the salesperson/purchaser record from 365 as well. But the issue came when they tried to resend a posted sales invoice from the customer account where the salesperson had been deleted. The system complained because that salesperson didn't exist anymore, but I would have expected 365 to stop you from deleting that salesperson if there was historical transactions on them? We had to recreate the original salesperson in order to resend that sales invoice. If the sales invoice isn't posted and you try to delete the salesperson the system will not allow you to as it says there is pending transactions attached. So is this a fault with 365?
Kind regards,
Kelly
Hi, If transactions exist in this system, try not to delete them, please choose to Block them. I know this should be controlled by the system, but haven't done it all yet.
Hope this will help.
Thanks.

thank you for your reply and I have added it as a idea.
Kind regards,
Kelly
Welcome to BC world. I believe the new approach is a better approach. Basically you do not want to have documents that have a record on it that you cannot find that record.
But as Josh suggested you can submit your idea with Microsoft.
Thanks for the reply, I am a new partner and so everything is fairly new to us. So it was one of my customers that had this issue last week. But no they hadn't setup commissions for the salesrep. We just re-created this salesrep and then was able to resend the posted sales invoice and the customer just put that salesrep as Do not use as the name.
Thanks Josh, we are a new partner and that ideas section is great. As I also found another query that I have been wanting to be logged. Multiple emailing of sales invoices.
Hi
Quick question. Have you set any commission up for your salesrep? When I tried this long time ago I was able to delete salesrep that had no commission setup but could not delete salesrep with commission setup.
My recommendation is to not delete salesrep and keep them. this is for history and some other reports.
Thanks
You can certainly argue that yes. If it is something you think should be resolved log an idea about it: experience.dynamics.com/.../
