scheduling of routing lines which has wait time and Send ahead quantity

I have a routing card as below:

//

I have created a production order for the item with 233 quantity

//
The starting time difference between the operation 20 and 30 is because of send ahead quantity. But why it didn't included the wait time. If I Manually validate the wait time again then it is adding 30 min to the operation 30 starting time

//
I want to know how it is scheduling when there is send ahead quantity and wait time, can someone explain how it will schedule and any help will be really appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    I'm curious how the original Production Order was created.  Especially since you said manually validating the Wait Time corrected the issue.  Was the original Routing imported or created by a non-standard process that is missing or validating out of order?

    Assuming a Serial Routing, the system should do Move Time first, Setup Time second, (Qty. x Run Time) third, and Wait Time last.

    In your scenario, Operation 20 should be 0 + 0 + (1.5 x .95) + 30 to determine the starting time of Operation 30.  Your last screenshot looks correct.

    I would review the Prod. Order creation process to see if there is anything non-standard happening.  To be fair, I did not test this in an out-of-the-box sandbox, and if it is present there a support case to Microsoft to report the issue would be your next step.

    I suggest you test in out of box BC to see if the send ahead qty and wait time are calculated correctly. for your case
    operation 10 processed 21 qty to send ahead for operation 20 to start. the time spent is 0.95*21=19.95 so the starting time seems to be correct.

    operation 20 processes 1.5 to send ahead to 40 to start. 1.5*0.95=1.425
    6:49 am +1.425 min, so it make sense to start operation 30 at 6:51 am    without taking the wait time into account
    to start operation 40, operation 30 need to wait for 30 min from 6:51 am, which make the correct starting time of 40 7:21am

    BC is indeed not calculating the wait time but I heard that BC doesn't calculate correctly if send ahead qty is used and it might explain why the wait time hasn't been accounted for in the scheduling.

    Try to test another routing without the send ahead qty and see if BC calculate correctly.
