Dynamics GP Last User shows as default

Running Citrix XenApp 4.5 on Server 2003 R2 x64.  The Dynamics 2013 client is installed on Citrix server.  The login box shows the last user logged as the default.  Does anyone know if this is Citrix or Dynamics?  Can I change it to show no logins?

this is a dynamics thing and you can control the behavior with the support debugging tool. Download it from PartnerSource or ask your partner for a free copy. You need to install it and then read about how you can control the settings in the dex.ini file. It is that file that stores the las user.

When using Dynamics GP on a Citrix-based client, there multiple users log into GP using the same GP client, and GP saves the last logged in user in the DEX.INI as Leslie stated.

In case you need the username "blank" , then you can mark the DEX.INI as read only for all domain users, while full control for server admin to enable new installations of 3rd parties and GP service-packs updates that need to write to that file.

    A better solution is:

1- Copy the Dex.INI to each user folder, and to DEFAULT or PUBLIC folder as well

    ...\Documents and settings\username  (for 32bit systems)

    ...\users\username  (64Bit Systems)

2- change your GP application command in Citrix to the following:

    C:\Dynamics\GP\Dynamics.exe Dynamics.set c:\Users\%USERNAME%\dex.ini     (for 64B Systems)

this will always read the DEX.INI from each user profile, and will always default the same username for the log in user.
