Unable to publish changes on a fresh CRM 2011 installation

Hi,

We are experiencing problems publishing changes on a CRM 2011 installation.

We receive the message "The value of the property 'publishEntities' is null or undefined, not a Function object"

This is usually related to Jscript errors, we only tried to add a field on an newly created organisation.

So no custom Jscript involved here.

It's a fresh install and we experienced it on the RTM and RU6 version.

We tried reinstalling it several times, to no avail ...

Any ideas?

Regards,

Sven Peeters

What type of field are you adding?

Do you get the same error regarding on the field type you create?

Does it happen on all entities or just a particular one?

    Hi,

I've created a new organisation but now I got other problems.

When I open the Customize this system window, or click 'New' in the solution window, I get

there was an error with this field's customized event

    field: window

    event: onload

Error: this object doesn't support this property or method

When I continue and click on 'New' to add a new field on an entity, he displays 'errors on this page' and does nothing.

Tried installing latest Java and URL Rewrite, to no avail

Might this be a client issue? I've tried on IE8 en IE9 and the site is detected as Local Intranet

    Regards,

    Sven Peeters

Are you sure you uninstalled the previous org following the steps detailed on the KB Article below?

    support.microsoft.com/.../946980

Note: I understand you installed CRM 2011 but the steps should be almost the same.

I have this issue in past with fresh install of CRM 2011. It can happen with corrupt install of Re-write Module

    1.  Go to Control Panel

    2.  Look for Microsoft URL Rewrite Module 1.1 for IIS 7

    3.  Please uninstall this

    4.  Do IISRESET

    5.  Re-install Microsoft URL Rewrite Module 1.1 for IIS 7

        a.  Take your CRM Install Disk, Browse for UrlRewrite Folder.

    6.  IISRESET

    7.  Browse your CRM

Let me know if that works!

    Hi,

We cleaned the installation and reinstalled it.

Tried reinstalling the URL Rewrite Module.

But the error stays the same.

    Hi Sven,

Apologies for late reply. I would suggest open a Microsoft Support Incident. We can take a look at the logs and see what best can be done.

    Regards,

    Apurv
