Publish catalog to online store

Hi,

I`m trying to publish a catalog to my online store. After I click on publish on my catalog (my online store is successfully publishied!) the status is changed to Published, but I cannot find my products in SharePoint. When I enter my catalog in AX, I notice that the status NeXT to where it says Retail Channels is "In progress" and NeXT to Contoso online store the listing status is In Progress.

Anyone know what might be wrong?

it is not enough to just click Publish on the catalog, once that was done you need to:

    1. Execute "Create Actions". You can find that link under Retail->Periodic->Data distribution

    2. Execute Job A-1075_OC. You can find it under Retail->Periodic->Data distribution->Distribution Schedule.

Once you complete the step #2 make sure that the status of the job (in the Scheduler jobs section) has changed to something like Successful ... (you can see that in the "Status message" column.

If the job executed successfully you should see your products in SharePoint in several (depends on how many products you have published) minutes. If you don't see your products in SharePoint you could look whether RetailPublishingJob (on SharePoint side) reported any errors or not, if you are using MS Demo VM then try to find the link to that job in the browser's Favorites under Retail (it could be called there something like "Job History").

    Hi Sergey,

Thank you for the answer. I`ve followed you steps. When I check the Job History, I get an error: "One or more errors occurred."... No more information than that. Is there any way I can check where it actually fails?

I reinstalled the image and now I get the following error from the RetailPublishingJob:

Error encountered accessing category space: 22565424696 is not known.

    > ...  Is there any way I can check where it actually fails? ...

Please have a look into standard Windows Event Viewer, there you will find (make sure you are looking at correct time range) all the details about the error. As an alternative you can also look into SharePoint's logs, then can be found in (adjust to your environment if needed) C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\15\LOGS. Again, here you need to find a file for the correct time period.

    > ... Error encountered accessing category space: 22565424696 is not known ...

    Several things here:

I assume that before publishing a catalog you successfully published a channel associated with it, in this case you should see your navigational categories in Publishing Portal, can you see it?

From the error I can suspect that you have published, let's say a Channel1 (which has category hierarchy, let's say Hierarchy1) but the products in your catalog are associated with another hierarchy, which was not published. You can execute the following query against your CRT DB to see the category details mentioned in the error message:

    SELECT *

    FROM CHANNELCATEGORYHIERARCHYVIEW

    WHERE RECID = 22565424696

If you don't see anything returned by this query it means that my assumptions above were correct. If you see that the category is returned then please compare its channelId with the ID of the channel you published from AX. To find out Id of the channel in AX - right click the channel there and then select something like "Record Inforrmation".

    Hi,

I'm facing exactly the same issue. When I run this request, I get a record in the CRT DB:

    Use AxRetailSP

    SELECT *

    FROM CHANNELCATEGORYHIERARCHYVIEW

    WHERE RECID = 5637146083

I tried running "create actions" + A_1075-OC and A_1040-OC without success.

Do you have any idea ?

    Hi,

I run through an example whereby i publish to share point in my blog here:

    patrickhawker.wordpress.com/.../ax-2012-ep-procurement-catalogues

let me know if that helps.

    Regards

    > ... I'm facing exactly the same issue ...

Could you please tell me what exactly issue you are facing? I am asking because original author of this post mentioned about 2 observations:

    a) No products in Publishing Portal

    b) Channel's publishing status is in progress

So, please provide more details about *your* case.

    a) No products are coming in the product catalog site collection. Nevertheless, terms hierarchy is properly created/

    b) Online store publishing status is "Published"

I'm also able to set the catalog publishing to "published" after completing the catalog publishing workflow.

After running "create actions" + A_1075-OC and A_1040-OC, no products are coming to the catalog on SharePoint side. The retailpublishing job result is:

Error encountered accessing category space: 5637146083 is not known.

When I run this request on the SQL machine, I get one record.

    SELECT *

    FROM CHANNELCATEGORYHIERARCHYVIEW

    WHERE RECID = 5637146083

I hope this is more clear now.

The view contains a column CHANNELID - can you see in the row returned your ChannelID (compare it with ID of the channel you published in AX) ?
