same here, if you have a noob that scanned barcode in qty, then you are doomed, you need to update all db tables related to that entry...STUPID MS can't even block that error at the source, it kills me every time,
also if you run the new Items in Transit you can get it too...i get -2147217900 Invalid length parameter passed to the SUBSTRING function...
All errors in RMS return you to the Desktop.
Just installed SP4 and HotFix 31. Customer received the following error when attempting to edit a QUANTITY ORDERED amount on a PO. I have screenshots and it appears that a scanning error placed a "barcode" number (076208450) where the Quantity Ordered should be. The Error 2147217833 occured when the customer attempted to edit the large value back to a value of 24. Clicking OK on the error produces a Run-time Error '5'; Invalid procedure call or arguement.
Thoughts? or is this simply a "normal" termination because of the rror.
Thanks,
Craig
Interesting! That is an ado truncation error, meaning one of the fields is larger that the receiving table's field.
Maybe Trent can weigh in on this one.
Silly question, but are there any ';' or ',' or ':' in the customer info? These can cause a skip to the next field and confuse sql server, and although RMS does a pretty good job on handling this stuff, you never know.

What is the entire Error Message?
Not enough info, but start with doing a database re-index and a database check in Admin.
