Hi,
I am often opening a form from within a form and have never managed to figure out the menu navigation to that form. I often end up scouring the menus to find it.
Does anyone know a quick way of obtaining the actual menu navigation to a form?
Many thanks
SImon
Hi Simon, hope this will match for your requirement.https://community.dynamics.com/365/financeandoperations/b/howtodynamics365/posts/how-to-create-menu-and-menu-item-in-dynamics-365
Since you've attached the tag "Development / Customization / SDK", I assume you can use development tools. Right-click the form in Visual Studio, choose References (or Find references, depending on where you do it) and then look at which menu items point to the form. Then you can use the same technique to find where these menu items are used.
Note that quite a few forms are accessible only through other forms and they're not directly in the main menu at all.
Hi Simon,
Next to the tag "Development / Customization / SDK", you have used "Consultant". I'm confused what type of answer you are looking for.
If you want to have a functional answer, then you can type the user interface name in the top search bar. It will then give you hits for menu items part of the main menu structure with an option to open them and a navigation path.
If you are looking for another different type of answer, please explain a bit more on what you want to achieve.
Thanks.
