Transaction import form AS

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

I am using SL7 SP4, when I use AS to import orders from CSV file, it just import the first line of order. I customized the transaction import screen default minimize is false but it's the same. If I open transaction screen by manual and import that file it run correct. I tested in SL7 SP2 with that file, it was imported correct by AS. I confuse about the reason of this issue, why SL7 SP2 can import by AS correct but SL SP4 can't. Please advise

    Hi Carolyn

I have upgraded to SL 2011 and it run well, so I think SL7 SP4 need to update the hotfix that you recommended to fix this issue but I still not try it.

    Hello Nam-

I believe you are seeing BUG 21638. It was reported in 7.0 FP1. It looks like there is a fix for this BUG for SL 7.0 SP4. Can you try to apply the fix and see if that resolves this issue?

Go to the following link: mbs.microsoft.com/.../slhflist7x then search it for the BUG number 21638.

    Thank you,

    Carolyn

    Hi Erich

We run AS on RDP senssion but we still open terminal windows to see the import process. All orders are imported successful but just the first line and no job pending when finishing. I confuse about it because when I do it in SL7 SP2 in same environment it run well. So I don't know what different AS or transaction import in SP 2 and SP4.

You are right on track on the minimize option. Some screens only work out the transaction import mode if not minimized. Purchase order is one of them. Not sure what kind of order are you importing, though.

Please check the AS request status. If the import job is still pending after importing just the first line, as if waiting for hell to freeze over to continue to the second line, then it's likely the minimize problem.

What kind of Application Server are you running? Is it a physical computer, or a virtual or RDP session? If the AS has no open terminal window, then import-wise is as if the screen are minimized. Other AS jobs will still work right.
