Multicurrency transactions not posting

Can anyone out there help me out for the issue i am facing. I have posted all the transactions & some of them was not posted & was going in the batch recovery everytime i try to post them. I found out that all those are multicurrency transactions. Can anyone recommend a possible solution to it please. All the purchsaes & payments done in multicurrency are lying there.

It says "Transaction error - Edit required" & appears in the batch recovery.

Go to the Batches(Transaction-->Purchasing-->Payables Batches (Payments) & Transaction-->Purchasing-->Purchasing Batches (Purchases)) window and select the Batch ID for those transaction which are not posted and click the Print button on right top of the window and check the error message showing on the edit list report. Then fix that issue and post the same.

Correct - that's what it says in the Batch Recovery window.

But if you recover the batch, then go to Transactions >> Purchasing >> Batches, select the batch in question, click the printer icon in the upper right hand corner and print the edit list for the batch, what is the error message?

Hi Rabia,

Just to add to valuable suggestions by Sean & Soma Multicurrency transactions might not get posted if any of the following issues.

1) A Valid exchange rate is not available for the posting date

2) The distribution of the entries is not balancing and it might require exchange loss or gain account on the default account settings.

So please check the above before you post the batch again.

thanks guys for all your valuable replies. i have sort out the issue, the error message was "The currency id is not selected for this posting account".
