GP 2010 - cannot save or post in PM/RM

My client went in as usual today to enter and post a manual payment, the post button was not working, so they create a batch and tried to save - and the save button also does not work. The same thing happened in cash receipts - no post, no save. GL batches work fine (can save in a batch). I first suggested they re-boot the server and it changed nothing. In 15 years, I have never seen this happen. I can't find this on any search engine or in PartnerSource. Anyone got any ideas?

Found the answer - they have installed Payables Document Management and it was hosing up anything to do with the checkbooks - once this was disabled - everything worked as expected.

Lesson - don't install EVERYTHING from GP unless you KNOW you will be using it. (I tried to tell them that, but who am I?)

It only happens during manual payment or cash application - we also noticed that the GL cash account does not default in on the transaction.

Reboot the work station?

Does it happen for all users or just this one?

If it is just one, what happens if they log into GP on someone else's work station?

What happens if another user logs into GP on the first user's work station?
