Now that I have been able to add Journal Entries via an API. I would now like to add a new field to the journal Entry and fill with a department dimensions.

Now would I add to the JE a department dimension by an API

Is this possible to do by API?

Thanks Keith

    Thanks YUN ZHU

I could use some clarification on adding a dimension to a Journal entry line.

First I already have setup a few new dimension values in Business Central.

Now I want to add a new journal line by API.

So I already have a dimension like "ENG" engineering set up.

Now I want to add that dimension "ENG" to that journal line.

Is the sequence first to add a Journal entry line then add the  dimension by using the dimensionSetLines or the create dimensionSetLines API using the ID of the journal line?

Just a little confused by the sequence.

    Thanks

    Thanks for everyones help..

I do have an issue when I run the following API.

    I get the following message:

    "{" & vbCrLf & "  ""error"": {" & vbCrLf & "    ""code"": ""BadRequest_NotFound""," & vbCrLf & "    ""message"": ""No HTTP resource was found that matches the request URI 'https://api.businesscentral.dynamics.com/v2.0/3xxxxxxxxx/D365Env/api/v2.0/companies(xxxxxxxxxxxxx)/journals(a55699a3-cc12-ef11-9f88-000d3a74de60)/dimensionSetLines?

As you can see the request can't be found.
The journal entry is in a batch but not POSTED. Is this correct?
